About Steve:
Steve is a virtuoso guitarist who specialises in playing the Spanish guitar. He plays in all of the styles associated with the instrument with a huge repertoire of standards, jazz, Latin and classical pieces. He is also in his element with the pop repertoire having written many arrangements of pop and jazz standards for both solo guitar and small group settings.
His early career saw him performing on the electric guitar in showbands and backing cabaret artists and the occasional chart act of the day. After years of study of jazz and classical playing, Steve now plays the Spanish guitar exclusively and can use it to create all types of music from Bach to Queen! He uses discreet amplification for larger events to project and maintain the natural sound of the classical guitar.
Steve is an accomplished soloist and performs at weddings, promotional events and provides tasteful dinner music in bars and restaurants and for private events where a pleasant musical backdrop is required.
His Latin jazz trio perform in larger restaurants and jazz festivals playing a mixture of modern Latin jazz arrangements and many of Steve’s own catchy compositions.
