Weddings:

Getting the music right is very important at a wedding and the guitar can provide the perfect accompaniment to the occasion. Guitar music can be part of the ceremony and a background to the drinks reception or the wedding breakfast.

During the ceremony itself, I can play relaxing music as the guests arrive at the civil ceremony or church, then play chosen pieces for the entrance of the bride, during the signing of the register and finally for the exit of the happy couple.

I am often asked to play during a drinks reception and have a large repertoire of the most popular guitar pieces to entertain guests and provide a pleasant backdrop to the occasion. Please see the Songs & Samples page.

Alternatively some couples ask me to play background music during the wedding breakfast. I have several hours’ worth of popular tunes to play as guests enjoy the meal.

I usually meet with couples to agree the music the played during the ceremony and select any favourites for the drinks reception or wedding breakfast.

If I don’t already know a song I can usually learn anything that can be played on the Spanish guitar.

Having such a portable instrument as the guitar allows me to play in virtually any wedding location -

in the church or licensed location, outdoors for drinks on the lawn,

in a marquee

- wherever required.

Clearly any wedding is an important day which typically carries with it some nervousness about whether everything arranged will be as good as you expect. Thank you so much for making our wedding day that extra bit special by playing for us during the ceremony. All our favourite songs played so beautifully for us as we celebrated our marriage made it very personal and was really special for us both and our guests. It seems a long time ago that we sat in a cafe in Bath and listened to you play in the summer sun, we knew then that you were exactly what was needed to make our day complete.

Steve provided beautiful guitar music during the meal at our wedding in March. He was sat up on the mezzanine level and it provided the perfect background music over dinner, not too loud and so much nicer than an MP3 compilation mix playing!
